Zhuku township is located in the southwest of Meigu county. In the West and south, it borders Jiagu, rishiluo and sedi Township in Zhaojue County. It faces Erku Township across Meigu River in the East and connects with Erhe and niuniuba townships in the north. The terrain inclines from west to East. The highest altitude is 2820 meters, and the lowest altitude is 1500 meters. Except abinatuo village is located in a low mountain valley, the rest are mountainous areas with an altitude of more than 2000 meters. The township was established in May 1956. At the end of 1957, the Township People's Committee was established. In December 1970, the three villages of Mahai muerhe, naizuku and gazuliekou were assigned to Erhe township. In March 1974, it was converted into a commune. On January 12, 2021, Sichuan Provincial People's government decided to abolish zhuku Township and establish niuniuba town. The administrative area of the original zhuku township is the administrative area of niuniuba town. The people's Government of niuniuba town is located at No. 36 Erqian street, erjiekae village.
Economics
In 1990, the total output value of agriculture in the township was 864500 yuan (364000 yuan for agriculture, 138000 yuan for forestry, 269500 yuan for animal husbandry, 93000 yuan for sideline and fishery), with 5451 mu of cultivated land and 1016000 kg of grain. The main products are corn, potato, buckwheat, pepper and walnut. There are 1439 yellow cattle, 7 Buffalo, 92 horses, 3283 pigs, 3617 goats and 4274 sheep.
