Evolution of organizational system

In 1953, it was a part of Yidi Township, lunding autonomous region, Yuexi County.
In 1956, it belongs to BOGAO District of Ganluo county.
In 1973, Suxiong township was changed into Suxiong people's commune.
In 1985, the commune was abolished and the township system was restored.
On June 12, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Suxiong township.
