New tea town
Xincha township is subordinate to Ganluo County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It got its name from the planting of tea in the new tea town. It is located at 102 ° 36 ′~ 102 ° 39 ′ E and 29 ° 01 ′~ 29 ° 05 ′ n. It is located in the northwest of Ganluo County, bordering Tianba town in the East, Haitang and Pingba in the west, Tuanjie Township in the South and Lianghe Township in the north. It is 16 kilometers away from Ganluo County in the south.
In 2014, xincha Township covers a total area of 35.97 square kilometers, governs eight villages, and has a total population of 3739 in 2014. In the total population, there are mainly Yi and Han nationalities, with 1807 Han people, accounting for 48.3%; 1932 Yi people, accounting for 51.7%; 98 Tibetan people, accounting for 2.65% of the total population. In xincha Township, there are Gan (Luo) Shi (Mian) highway running through the territory, and there are 7 village roads. Diaoerpu village is the only village without road in the township.
On June 12, 2020, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Liangshan Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Yanyuan County and other five counties (cfzm [2020] No. 7): the administrative areas of Xiushui village, Lianghe village, baikun village, Nishui village and Zhongpu village of Lianghe Township were put under the jurisdiction of xincha Township, and the people's Government of xincha township was stationed at No. 66, group 3, Xiangshui village.
Evolution of organizational system
Xinjian township was set up in 1952 and belongs to Yuexi County. In 1956, it was transferred to Guluo county. In 1973, it was changed into commune. In 1981, it was changed into xincha commune. In 1984, it was changed into xincha township. in 2020, the administrative areas of Xiushui village, Lianghe village, baikun village, Nishui village and Zhongpu village of Lianghe township will be under the jurisdiction of xincha Township, and the people's Government of xincha township will be stationed at No. 66, group 3, Xiangshui village.

Xincha Township belongs to subtropical plateau monsoon climate, which is characterized by four distinct seasons, hot and rainy season, sufficient light and long frost free period. It is dry and windy in spring, concentrated rainfall in summer, mild and cool in autumn, and dry and cold in winter with little snow. The annual average temperature is 14.5 ℃, the annual average growth period is 200 days, the annual average frost free period is 192 days, the longest is 218 days, the shortest is 167 days. The duration above 0 ℃ is 276 days (from February 28 to December 3). The annual average precipitation is 885 mm. The main natural disasters are hail, drought and flood, frost, debris flow and so on.

Xincha Township belongs to the Niri river system. The Tianba River enters the two rivers from moping to Xiangshui village. The river is 8 km long, with xingni power station and Haixing power station.
