Mahong Township

Mahong township is under the jurisdiction of Puge County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province.

On January 12, 2021, the people's Government of Sichuan Province agreed that Liangshan Prefecture should adjust the administrative divisions of Puge county and other seven counties, abolish wudaoqing Township, terguo Township, Mahong Township and Hongmoyida Township, and establish wudaoqing town.

Historical evolution

Mahong township is under the jurisdiction of Puge County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It was founded in 1952 and merged into hongmaoerda Township in 1960. It was analyzed and restored in 1961. In the same year, it was renamed Mahong township. It was changed into a commune in 1973 and restored to township in 1984.
