The people's Government of the town is stationed in Jiangzhou village, the former Jiangzhou Township, and governs the administrative areas of the former Jiangzhou Township and the Central Township.
On December 13, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Liangshan Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in six counties (cities), including Xichang City (cfzm [2019] No. 18): Xiaoba township was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Jiangzhou Town, and Jiangzhou Town People's government was stationed at No. 62 Wenhua street.

Jiangzhou Town, covering an area of 216.04 square kilometers, has jurisdiction over 26 administrative villages and 1 neighborhood committee, with a population of 8661 households and 32493 people. Jiangzhou town is close to national highway g353, and Yichang Panzhihua expressway runs through Jiangzhou, so the traffic condition is very convenient. The pavement of the street is mainly the slab facade of civil engineering buildings, with strip stones on both sides of the street and red sand and blue stone slabs on the street.
