Tingka Township

Tingka township is a township level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Ganzi County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China. Before liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of the Tusi of hormashu. Tingka township is located in the southeast of the county, 15 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 227.25 square kilometers and has a population of 2002 (2017).

General situation

Tingka village governs seven administrative villages: juekolong village, getuo village, sranda village, Laxi village, tingka village, Kurong village and Luoge village. The people's Government of tingka township is stationed in tingka village.

Historical evolution

In 1956, Ruxi township was established; in 1959, tingka township was renamed; in 1960, commune was changed; in 1983, Ruxi township was restored.

economic development

Tingka Township mainly produces wheat, highland barley, beans and potato. It is rich in Shajin.
