Milong Township

Milong township is under the jurisdiction of Yajiang County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Before liberation, it belonged to Yi malabu, the feudal leader of zhusang. In 1958, it set up milong Township, changed to milong commune in 1973, and changed to milong Township in 1984.

Geography

Milong township is located 24 kilometers south of Yajiang County. It is adjacent to Zhucai in the East, malangcuo Township in the west, Yalong River as the boundary, Barong Township in the South and Hekou town in the north. The highest altitude is 4590m, the lowest altitude is 2500m, the relative vertical difference is 2090m, the average temperature is 4.9oc, the frost free period is short, the climate is dry, the water conservancy conditions are poor, the spring drought is prone to be dry, and the natural disasters are frequent.
