Shituan town belongs to Lezhi county, Ziyang City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the south of Lezhi county, bordering Dongshan Town and Huilan town in the East, Xinchang township of Yanjiang District in the west, lvhechang Township and shuanghechang Township in the south, foxing Township and peacock Township in the north. Its total area is 67.76 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
In the Song Dynasty, the bazaar was expanded into a market town, which was named Shituan because the river flowed southward along the stone wall.
