Zhengzheng town covers an area of 151.81 square kilometers. It governs 41 administrative villages, 7 communities, 23300 households and 61100 people. It is the economic and cultural center of 120000 people in the southwest area of Nanjiang river.

Zhengzheng town was determined as a demonstration town of urban and rural poverty alleviation in Bazhong City in 2012. It was listed as a national key town in July 2014. In 2015, it was listed in the third batch of "hundred towns construction pilot action" pilot towns in Sichuan Province, and Nanjiang County expanded its power to strengthen the towns. Zhengzheng white pagoda is a well preserved ancient building with a long history in the town. It is said that it was built in the Ming Dynasty. Mumen river runs through the territory from north to South and flows into Qujiang River. In the Zhengzheng section, it is named Qinghua River, with a total length of 17 kilometers.
