Historical evolution

On September 30, 2006, the provincial government (No. 50, Chuanfu civil administration) approved the adjustment of some administrative divisions in Shimian County: 1. New Miancheng sub district office. It has jurisdiction over the four communities of Xinjie, Laojie, Xiqu and Yanzi in the former Xinmian town and the four administrative regions of chuanmian, guangyuanbao, chuanxindian and caobapai in the former Sichuan Shimian mine. Miancheng sub district office is located in chuanmian community. 2、 Xinmian town governs the administrative areas of six villages, including Chengbei, Dongqu, Liyue, Shunhe, Xiangyang and Anjing. Xinmian town government moved from Laojie community neighborhood committee to Chengbei Village. 3、 The resident name of Shimian County government was changed from No. 9, Caihong Road, Xinmian town to No. 9, Caihong Road, Miancheng sub district office.
