Yangtong township is located 48 kilometers southwest of Dazhu County, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, covering an area of 25.5 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 6 administrative villages and 49 villager groups with a total population of 11630 (2017). There are 207 students in one middle school, 1100 students in six primary schools, and the enrollment rate of school-age children is 100%.
