Shiyong town is under the jurisdiction of Linshui County, Guang'an City, Sichuan Province. Shiyong town is located in the east of Linshui. Shiyong town is located in the southwest of Linshui, which is adjacent to Dian expressway. The town covers an area of 96.5 square kilometers.

On December 11, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some townships and towns in Guang'an City (cfzm [2019] No. 16): Tongshi Township and Gulu Township were canceled, and their administrative areas were put under the jurisdiction of Shiyong Town, and the people's Government of Shiyong town was stationed at No. 8 Jinhu Road.
