Mangshan Town, formerly known as Dang, also known as shanchengji, is located in the north of Yongcheng City, Henan Province. With a total area of 71 square kilometers and 1 / 5 mountainous area, it governs 26 administrative villages with 50820 people (in 2017), and the town government is stationed in Fuqian road. In 2016, the gross national product was 1.46 billion yuan and the fiscal revenue was 34.86 million yuan.
Mangshan town has a national 5A tourist attraction - Mangdangshan Han culture tourist attraction. Mangdangshan is the place where Liu Bang, the founder of the Han Dynasty, killed snakes and revolted, known as the "land of Hanxing". From the Western Zhou Dynasty to the Warring States period, it belonged to the state of song. In the 29th year of King Nan of Zhou Dynasty (286 BC), Qi, Chu and Wei joined hands to destroy the Song Dynasty. The Three Kingdoms carved up the territory of the Song Dynasty and Dang belonged to Chu.
Dang county was set up in Qin Dynasty, belonging to Dang County, which was one of the 36 counties in Qin Dynasty.
Dang County in the Han Dynasty belongs to the state of Liang. New Wang Mang changed Dang county to jiedang County, and it was renamed Dang County in the Eastern Han Dynasty.

In 265, the state of Liang was restored and Dang county was merged into Xiayi county (now Dangshan County).
In the Southern Song Dynasty, Dang county was restored.

In 555, Anyang County was merged into Dang county. Dang county was renamed Anyang County, belonging to Suiyang County.
In 598, Anyang County was changed into Dangshan County. In 610, Yongcheng county was set up in Pengcheng and Suiyang counties. To the north of Mangdangshan, Dangshan County was under the jurisdiction of Dangshan County, which was renamed shanchengji. The county government has been moved to the east of Dangshan County.
Tang Dynasty named the mountain city as Bao'an Town, also known as Phoenix City.
Baoan town in the Northern Song Dynasty is still Dangshan County.
Baoan military town was set up in Mangshan area in December 1221, the fifth year of jinxingding. In the middle of Xingding, Dangshan County was flooded and moved to this place.
In the second year of the Yuan Dynasty (1265), Dangshan County was merged into Danfu County, and Mangdangshan belonged to Yongcheng county. In the seventh year of emperor Xianzong of the Yuan Dynasty (1257), Dangshan County was restored to Xiayi city (now the east of Dangshan County).
The Ming Dynasty changed its name to xinglongji, and later changed it to shanchengji.
In the early Qing Dynasty, it was called qingnu town. Because the local people refused to change its name, it was still called shanchengji.
In 1913, it belonged to the east of Henan Province.
In April 1940, it was renamed yutingji to commemorate the death of martyr Lu Yuting for his country. During the Anti Japanese War, it was once assigned to xiayongdang County, and since November 1947, it was assigned to dangnan county.
In 1949, it was set up as Yuting District, belonging to the administrative district of Northern Anhui, Su County and Dangshan County. At the beginning of 1952, it was rezoned back to Yongcheng County, and yutingji was named as shanchengji again. Mangshan people's commune was rebuilt in 1958, renamed Mangshan Township in 1983, and upgraded to Mangshan town in 1985.

Mangshan town is located in the north of Yongcheng city at the junction of Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu and Shandong provinces, with longitude and latitude of 116 ° 51 ˊ E and 34 ° 19 ˊ n. Mangshan town is a part of the Huang Huai plain. Most of the town area is plain, which inclines from northwest to Southeast. There are Baoan mountain, tiejiao mountain, Huangtu mountain, Fushan mountain, Moshan mountain, Taoshan mountain, Mashan mountain and so on, which constitute Mangdangshan group, accounting for about one fifth of the total area of the town. Mangshan river system belongs to Huaihe River system, the main rivers are Wangyin River, Jianhe river and Honghe River.
Wangyin river flows from northwest to southeast along the western part of the town, with a length of 8.5 km and a width of 150 m; its flow is 150 m / S; its water level is 34.8 m in flood season and 4.15 m in normal time. It mainly flows through Taoshan, Dazhuang, Qianyao, houyao, Shancheng, Xiazhuang, Songyuan and other administrative villages.
The Jianhe river runs from northwest to southeast along the central part of the town, with a length of 7.8 km, a width of 70 m, and a flow of 80 m / s. It mainly flows through Zhaolou, Jianglou, Moshan, Yuting, Shancheng, Zhangzhuang, Zhongzhuang and other administrative villages.
Honghe River flows from northwest to southeast along the eastern edge of the town, with a flow of 0.8 km in Mangshan. Yaoshan Valley and Xiaobai River in the west of the town are tributaries of Wangyin River, flowing into Wangyin River from northwest to Southeast.

Mangshan town has thick Cenozoic strata. The Cenozoic includes the tertiary and Quaternary, which are mainly caused by the flooding of the Yellow River and Huaihe River. The thickness of the quaternary system varies greatly, and the Holocene system is generally about 30 meters thick, consisting of yellowish brown, Anhuang silty sand, loam and sandy loam.
There are three soil types, five sub types, 10 soil genera and 25 soil species in the town. Light stone soil, limestone soil, cinnamon soil, fluvo cinnamon soil and silt soil are distributed in the whole area from the peak to the Piedmont.

Since 2006, the town has built the main trunk roads from the expressway intersection to the town landscape Avenue, Shiyuan East Road, gaomang North Road, Fengcheng West Road, etc., built two Jianhe bridges, formed a Tourism Ring Road, and hardened all the section roads in the town.
