Tan Tong
Tantong town is located in the southwest of Linshui County, backed by Huaying Mountain and adjacent to Chongqing. In the three mountains and two troughs, it belongs to the West trough.
On December 11, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some townships and towns in Guang'an City (cfgm [2019] No. 16): Jiufeng Township and Huaying Township were canceled, and their administrative areas were put under the jurisdiction of Tantong Town, whose people's government was stationed at No. 145, Renmin South Road. On May 15, 2020, the people's Government of Linshui county approved the adjustment and reform of village level organizational system in Tantong town (LFF [2020] No. 10), and approved the establishment of 16 villages (TANKOU, luojiamiao, Liuhuanggou, Qinglong, bailing temple, shiqianzui, tiantianmen, Baiyangba, xinqiaomen, liaoyesi, Huaying, sickle Bay, Fangjing, Jiufeng, Hongxing, Jinping) and 3 communities (Tanzi) Dam, doushuipo, huangjuechong).
Historical evolution
During the reign of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty, it was called tanzibachang. in 1915, the county set up six security zones, the fourth security zone, Tanzi township. On July 1, 1935, six districts were merged into three districts. Tanzi Township and Tongle Township were merged into Tantong Town, the third district of Linshui county. On March 1, 1940, the new county system was implemented. Tantong town was the Fourth District of Linshui county. On January 6, 1942, it belonged to Tantong Township, the Fifth District of Linshui County, with jurisdiction over 24 Bao and 231a. In December 1949, the people's Government of Tantong district established Tantong Township Office. On April 24, 1953, Tantong Township Office was renamed Tanzi Township People's government. On January 16, 1956, Tanzi Township People's government was renamed Tantong Township People's Committee. On September 22, 1958, the Tantong people's Committee was renamed the Tantong people's commune. After the beginning of the cultural revolution in May 1966, the work of Tan Tong people's commune was disturbed. In March 1967, the production office of Tantong people's commune was set up under the leadership of the armed cadres and the masses of the commune to take charge of the daily work of the commune. On October 4, 1968, with the approval of the Party committee of the people's Armed Forces Department of the county, the Revolutionary Committee of Tantong people's commune was established. after October 1976, the administrative organization of Tantong people's commune was still the Revolutionary Committee. In March 1981, the county Party committee decided to abolish the Tantong people's commune reform committee and establish the Tantong people's commune management committee, which has a director and deputy directors. In January 1984, in accordance with the requirements of the system reform of the CPC Central Committee, the county Party committee decided to abolish the Management Committee of Tantong people's Commune and establish the Tantong Township People's government. in 1994, Heitan township was merged into the town of Tantong.

Township enterprises in Tantong town have small hydropower station, brick making, coal mining, grain processing, wine making and other industries. Agricultural production of rice, corn, wheat, rapeseed. Breeding industry mainly includes live pigs, cattle, meat rabbits and poultry. Economic crops include citrus, ramie, tea, tobacco, kiwi, grape, strawberry, etc.

There are 210 national highway and Da Yu Expressway in Tantong Town, and Da Yu expressway has an exit to Tantong at liujiaba. Tantong town is only 62 kilometers away from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. The planned Gaoxing LUOQI railway will set up Tan Station in Zhoujiazui.

Xiong Fu (1915-1995), former president of Xinhua news agency, Vice Minister of Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, and general manager of red flag magazine. Xiong Yuzhong (1910-1991), former deputy secretary of the CPC Bishan Prefecture Committee, director and party secretary of the second Engineering Bureau of the Ministry of railways, Secretary of the Party group of Guizhou Provincial Construction Committee, first deputy director of the planning and Economic Commission of Southwest Bureau, Secretary of Chengdu municipal Party committee and chairman of Chengdu Municipal Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference. Xiong Ji (1891-1926), a member of the Chinese League and a member of the left wing of the Chinese Kuomintang. In 1911, he participated in the Chinese League and the road protection comrades' Association in Chengdu. In March 1912, he was appointed Vice Chairman of Linshui county financial liquidation committee. In the spring of 1923, he served as an inspector of Wanxian, Liangshan (now Liangping), Dazhu, Quxian and Linshui counties. In 1924, he served as the inspector of the 10th District of the General Administration of League training of Sichuan Province and commander of Qingxiang. On November 19, 1926, he was executed by the warlord.

Xiongji tomb in Baiyangba was announced as the fourth batch of municipal cultural relics protection units in Guang'an City on March 21, 2019. Yongan village of damaopo was announced as the third batch of municipal cultural relics protection units in Guang'an City on January 29, 2011.
natural disaster
At about 6:20 p.m. on July 1, 2007, a building in Tantong Town, Linshui County collapsed. At present (July 2, 2007), four people have been killed and three are missing, including at least one student. on September 13, 2014, a huge flood occurred in Linshui County, which severely affected Tantong town.
