Suwu town

Suwu Town, subordinate to Minqin County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the east of Minqin County, adjacent to Dongba Town, Jiahe town and Nanhu town in the East, Nanhu town and Jiahe town in the south, Hongshagang Town, Sanlei town and Xuebai town in the west, datan town in the north, and 1km away from Minqin County. The area is 211.97 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in suwu town was 30346.

During the Han Dynasty, Northern Dynasty, Northern Wei Dynasty and Western Wei Dynasty, suwu town belonged to Xuanwei county. In December 2004, Yanglu Township and Xinhe Township merged into suwu township. In 2015, the township was withdrawn and suwu town was established. On July 24, 2019, suwu town was selected into the list of national strong agricultural towns in 2019. As of June 2020, suwu town has one community and 26 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in suwu community.

In 2018, there were 17 industrial enterprises in suwu Town, including one above scale, and 33 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

During the Han Dynasty, Northern Dynasty, Northern Wei Dynasty and Western Wei Dynasty, suwu town belonged to Xuanwei county.

From the Northern Zhou Dynasty to the Sui Dynasty, it belonged to guzang county.

In Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Mingwei mansion.

In Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Yongchang Road.

In Ming Dynasty, it belonged to zhenfanwei.

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Zhenfan county.

In 1947, it was a new river town.

In October 1949, it belongs to Xinhe district.

In December 1955, Xinhe township was established.

In October 1958, Xinhe commune was established.

In December 1961, it was divided into three communes: Xinhe commune, hongshabu commune and Sushan commune.

In January 1965, hongshabao commune was merged into Xinhe commune.

In April 1983, it was changed into Xinhe township.

In December 2004, Yanglu Township and Xinhe Township merged into suwu township.

In 2015, the township was withdrawn and suwu town was established.
