Yumin town

Yumin town is under the jurisdiction of Yuechi County, Guang'an City, Sichuan Province. Yumin town is located in the southeast of Yuechi County, Guang'an City. The town people's government is located in Yufu street where xiangluzui neighborhood committee is located. It is located at the junction of Yuechi, wusheng and Hechuan counties (districts), connecting Dafo Township in the East, Xiaojia town in Hechuan District in the south, Leshan town and Mengshan Township in wusheng in the west, Pu'an town and Qifu Township in the north, covering an area of 41.22 square kilometers.

The Township People's government is located in xiangluzui community, which has jurisdiction over guangxingchang, Qiaodong, zujiayuan, gaozhutian, Shifosi, tuditang, shichaomen, Dingjiawan, yangshansi, shuijingwan, shijishan, pengjiachang, Taojiagou, duanqiaogou, xiangjiaping, Wangjiaqiao, Maocaoping, Maoba, jieguanting, caijiaqiao, shanshuwan, Yinya, liubeichi, zhiziba, fanjiaqiao, Xinqiao village and Xiangxiang village Luzui community, 193 Village (resident) groups, 20478 people (2017).

The town is a shallow hill with dam landform, and now it has formed a planting industry mainly producing high-quality grain and vegetable; a breeding industry mainly producing live pigs and poultry; and a processing industry mainly producing milled rice, flour, wine and shale machine brick. Yumin town was formed by merging Yumin Township and Xinmin Township in September 1992. The town is adjacent to Dafo Township in Yuechi County in the East, Xiaojia town in Hechuan, Chongqing in the south, Leshan town and Mengshan town in wusheng County in the west, and Pu'an town in Yuechi County in the north.

Yumin town governs 26 villages including guangxingchang, Qiaodong and xiangluzui residents committee. Yumin town has more than 23054 mu of arable land, mainly producing rice, wheat, corn, rape, other fruits, sericulture, pigs and other diversified operations. Evolution of organizational system

The Qing Dynasty was under the jurisdiction of zima Township, Yuechi County.

From the end of the Qing Dynasty to the founding of the people's Republic of China in 1949, it was named Xiaoma township.

Xiaoma township of Yuechi County was in Xiaojia town of Hechuan, Chongqing before 1953. In 1953, Xiaoma township of Yuechi County belonged to Hechuan county. In the same year and during the cultural revolution, the Township under the jurisdiction of Yuechi County of Sichuan Province moved to guangxingchang, named Jiefang commune, and later renamed Yumin township.

Historical Site

Now the grain station of Yumin town in Yuechi County is the manor of Zhou Hengtang, a big landlord from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. Zhou Hengtang's manor has been destroyed because of the change of grain station!

"Fushou village" of shuijingwan landlord Zhou Hengtang, Yumin Town, Yuechi County, covers an area of 30000 square meters and is a wooden structure with cornices and brackets. Shangma Temple (Xiaoma mountain): about five miles southeast of the town (South), half belongs to Yuechi and half belongs to Hechuan, with an altitude of 485 meters. It looks close to Qujiang River and far away at wusheng. There is an ancient village on the top of the mountain (during the Republic of China, Zhou, Wen, Wang and other three rich families once lived here). There is an ancient temple in the village with a Thousand Buddhas in it. It is said that it is a Buddhist monk who sits on the body. There was a well in front of the temple, which could be tens of feet deep. Because it was too deep, it was difficult to get water. In addition, someone fell into the well and died, so it was finally closed. According to the folklore, "mengge, the leader of the Yuan Dynasty, led the attack on Hezhou (today's Hechuan, Chongqing) and stayed here.".

Since ancient times, hundreds of meters west of the village, there are two peaks opposite each other, and there is a platform like a chessboard in it, which is called "two immortals playing chess" by local people.

There is also a natural landscape, that is, if the sky wants to rain, there will be white fog around the mountain top; the clouds will not disperse, and the rain will not stop. Therefore, there is a proverb that "when the mount Xiaoma fogs, there is no need to make a living.". The name of "Xiao Ma Yun Heng" also comes from this.

Construction and development

Since the establishment of Yumin town in 1992, the construction of market town has developed rapidly. Especially since the provincial pilot small market town was started in 2000, the market town has taken on a new look. It has developed from two old streets in 1992 to eight new streets today. It has achieved hardening, lighting, greening, water, electricity, cable TV, and gas filling stations. The area of the market town has increased from 0.05 square kilometers to 0.85 square kilometers, and the business is very active, known as a "Pearl of the border" of Yuechi.

Agricultural construction

Yumin town is a traditional pig breeding town. Every household has to raise several pigs every year. Yumin town regards the development of live pigs as the top priority of increasing farmers' income. At the same time, we should pay close attention to the cultivation of large households and the construction of standardized breeding communities, provide high-quality services such as land, capital and technology to large pig farmers, and formulate incentive measures. For the development of pig industry, we should reduce and exempt the temporary land occupation fee, farmland occupation tax and examination and approval fees, and encourage the large-scale development of pig production. At the same time, efforts have been made to build a brand of lean and fat pigs. Six standardized breeding communities have been built, including zhiziba, Shifosi and zujiaba, and the first professional pig cooperative has been established in the county. The vast majority of farmers in the town produce more than 10 pigs annually, among which more than 300 households produce more than 100 pigs, 20 households produce more than 1000 pigs and 4 households produce more than 3000 pigs. There are 62000 fattening pigs in the market, and the number of farmers is 1.8. Because the whole line of high-quality lean and fat pigs are widely sold in Guangdong, Hunan, Guizhou and other places, the market price per kilogram is 2 yuan higher than that of local pigs. The town has also raised high-quality sows on a large scale to ensure the provenance and pig quality. At present, there are 3420 fertile sows in captivity, and 85000 piglets have been sold, making it a real pig town in the city.

While vigorously developing live pigs, Yumin town encourages farmers to raise small poultry on a large scale, and adopts a variety of modes such as farmers' free range breeding, forest breeding, combination of fish and duck breeding, and special emphasis on large-scale breeding. The town has sold 1 million small poultry, including 26 households with more than 5000 and two households with more than 50000. There are two large brooding households, with an annual brooding capacity of 900000. Hu Houji, a large incubator in Shifosi village, invested 200000 yuan to expand the incubator at the end of 2007, adding 300000 incubators. Chen Lin, a big chicken farmer, has invested 100000 yuan to rent an empty house in a grain station to raise chickens, and has over 100000 broilers per year.

Scale aquaculture is another feature of agricultural industrialization in Yumin town. In 2008, Yumin town raised 800 mu of fish on the water surface and 1000 mu of fish in the paddy field. In 2008, it could catch 450 tons of aquatic products.
