Human history

Gongle town evolved from "Le Gongcheng". In the fourth year of Yuanfeng in the Northern Song Dynasty (1081 AD), the Song Dynasty ordered the emperor to build a city here, and named it Legong city; in 1573 ad, it was "Legong township" in Jiang'an County; in the Qing Dynasty, it was returned to Jiang'an County, Shuixin and baituli; in the 34th year of Guangxu, it was included in Ancient Song County. In 1927, it was changed into Gongle township; in 1959, it was transferred to Xuyong county and renamed Gongle commune; in 1983, it was named Gongle Township when Xuyong county was transferred to Xingwen County; in October 1992, the district was removed and the township was built, and Gongle and Dongyang Township were merged into Gongle town. The town people's government was located in yaojiazui. The town people's Congress, the town government and the town Party committee are stationed in yaojiazui community. In July 2006, Maocun village, Shuanghe village, shitipo village, Bajiao village, Renhe Village and lengshuiya village of Jiuqing town were merged into Gongle town. Changchun Village and Gaishan village of Gongle town were divided into Wuxing township.
