Duofu town

Duofu town is located 10 km east of Xichong County, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, on Yulan 212 national highway and Guangnan expressway, 20 km away from Nanchong City. It is one of the first batch of top 100 small town construction pilot towns in Sichuan Province. It is a national key town, a national health town, and a national characteristic town. Historical facts

Zhang Xianzhong (1606-1646) was named Bingwu. Yan'an people. Chongzhen three years (1630) in Mizhi incident, since the number eight king, known as "yellow tiger.". After the incident, he conquered Fengyang, burned the imperial mausoleum, broke the Kaixian County, trapped Xiangyang, and won many battles. In the 16th year of Chongzhen reign, he conquered Wuchang and was called the king of Daxi. In the next year, he built Daxi in Chengdu, that is, the throne, with the title of Dashun. In 1646, Qing soldiers went south and died in Fenghuang mountain of Xichong.

He Jiong (784-841), named zongmi, is said to be a famous monk in Tang Dynasty. After becoming a monk, he often meditated in Caotang Temple of Guifeng, Huxian County, Shaanxi Province.

He Jiong's family was rich, and he had read scriptures since he was a child. He was a Jinshi in 807 (the second year of the Tang Dynasty). Later, he believed in Buddhism and became a monk. He became the fifth patriarch of Huayan sect. He once returned to his hometown, lectured in Zifu temple in Jincheng, meditated in Renhe Beifu temple, and practiced in Zhonghe Guifeng courtyard. More than 200 volumes of works have been published in China and foreign countries, including the collection of commentaries on the origin of Zen, Huayan Yuanren theory, Huayan Sutra Xingyuan pinbie xingshuchao, Huayan Sutra fajie Guanmen, Yuanjue Sutra Dashu, Menglan basin Sutra, and the inheritance map of Zen sect capital. After he Jiong died, Tang daozong pursued his posthumous title as "Zen master Dinghui". In 855 (the ninth year of Tang Dynasty), Huxian built Guifeng stele, which was written by Pei Xiu, the prime minister, and written by Liu Gongquan.

Duofu gets its name

In 1646, Zhang Xianzhong, the leader of peasant uprising in the late Ming Dynasty, entered Sichuan and camped on Fenghuang Mountain in Duofu area. Unexpectedly, the spy inserted by King Su revealed his intelligence. The spy lied about the military situation and lured Zhang Xianzhong out of the mountain. In the fight with King Su's army, Zhang Xianzhong was shot in the chest by a poisonous arrow from nanyimara of the Qing army. Zhang Xianzhong's soldiers helped Zhang Xianzhong all the way to today's Duofu. As a result, he lost his way here and didn't know how to return to the camp in Fenghuang mountain. In this place, Zhang Xianzhong died after dying of blood. The world said that this section of the road was Duofu, so the name of "Duofu" came into being.
