Luomu town

Luomu Town, located in the southeast of Emeishan City, borders Gaoqiao, Eshan, Jiuli and Guihua bridge. The provincial 103 road crosses the border for 2km and goes south to Ebian via Longchi. Jusha highway crosses the town for 4 km. It was once known as Qinglong Town in history. Specific way: go out of Emei City, walk along the 103 "world famous mountain" archway to Ebian, and then go about 3 km to the left of Jucao toll station. Covering an area of 48.91 square kilometers, it governs 18 administrative villages and 1 community, with a total population of 23349 (2017). The town has a long history. In 966, it entered Emei county and was called Luomu town. It is the seat of the county government and is known as a small town under Emei Mountain.

The iron coins and porcelain hoard of Song Dynasty in Luomu town was discovered in the infrastructure project and was excavated and cleaned up in time. Most of the unearthed porcelain are intact, among which the silver porcelain and the unearthed crystal cups of late Tang Dynasty style are rare and precious in Sichuan Song Dynasty hoard. The iron coins of Song Dynasty, weighing 16.32 tons and 3.68 cubic meters, are unearthed. According to the calculation, the total number of coins is more than 1.6 million It is rare in the iron coins of Song Dynasty unearthed in Sichuan over the years. The discovery of porcelain and coins from different kilns and the cultural accumulation layer of Song Dynasty reflects the prosperity of social economy and the activity of trade at that time. At the same time, it also provides important archaeological data and clues for the location of Luomu County in Tang and Song dynasties.
