Hechengjie town
Hechengjie Town, referred to as Hejie Town, belongs to Xianxian County, Cangzhou City, Hebei Province. It is located in the middle of Hebei Province and the southeast of Xianxian county. Shihuang Expressway and national highway 307 cross the border. It has 52 administrative villages with a total area of 83 square kilometers and a permanent population of 46605 (2017). The town government is located in hechengjie village.
Hecheng street was built in Lecheng city in Qin Dynasty. In Han Dynasty, it was the capital of Hejian and the seat of Lecheng county. In Northern Dynasty, the county government moved and the old city was abandoned as a village. Because it was near Hutuo River and the old city of Hejian, it was named Hecheng Street. Later, it belonged to Leshou county and Xianxian county. In 1984, hechengjie Township and Wancun Township were established. In 1995, Wancun township was merged into hechengjie Township, and in 2002, township was withdrawn to establish town. Scenic spots include Xianwang mausoleum, Yuntai Mountain, Wanchun mountain, Jiulian Mountain, MaoGong tomb, Great Wall dike, etc.
Hechengjie town is located in the middle of North China Plain, lying in the Hutuo River. The main food crops are wheat and corn, and the main industries are garment processing, construction equipment and mold production. In 2011, hechengjie town achieved a GDP of 6.2 billion yuan.
History of construction
In the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, hechengjiejing belonged to the state of Yan. In the late Warring States period, it belonged to the state of Qi, the state of Zhao and the state of Qin. in the Qin Dynasty, it was established in Yuecheng County, belonging to Julu County. in the early years of emperor Gaozu of the Western Han Dynasty, Lecheng county (now the south of Hecheng Street) was established, belonging to Hejian county. In the second year of Emperor Wen (178 BC), he set up Hejian state, capital Lecheng, under the jurisdiction of Lecheng county and other four counties, and granted Liu Bijiang, the second son of king you of Zhao. In addition to the second state, Hejian county was established. In the second year of the reign of emperor Jing (154 BC), Hejian state was restored, and King Liu De was appointed. In the ninth year of Hongwu (1376) of Ming Dynasty, Xianzhou was descended to Xian County, and Hecheng Street belonged to it. in the Republic of China, Hecheng street was the Second District of Xian County, and Yizhuang was the enclave of Jiaohe county. During the Anti Japanese War, Hecheng street was ruled by the Japanese puppets, and Wancun area was the fifth area of XIANJIAO county. In 1949, XIANJIAO county was abolished and Wan village was assigned to the Second District of Xianxian county. In May 1954, the seventh district of Xian county (zhuhecheng Street) was established, with jurisdiction over 14 townships. In 1958, Hecheng Street belonged to Chengguan rocket people's commune, and Wancun village belonged to nanhetou commune. In 1961, Chengguan people's commune was divided into hechengjie commune and nanhetou commune into Wancun commune. In 1984, hechengjie commune and Wancun commune were abolished and changed into hechengjie Township and Wancun township. In 1995, Wancun township was abolished and the original administrative region of Wancun township was merged into hechengjie township. In 2002, hechengjie township was abolished and hechengjie town was established.

The town government is located in hechengjie village, 7.5km away from the county. Its total area is 83 square kilometers.

Hechengjie town is located in the uplift of taigongxian County, Cangxian County, North China fault depression. It is an inherited fault and has been active from Archean to Cenozoic. The Sinian and Paleozoic strata are well developed with huge thickness. The tertiary system is basically missing, with small thickness; the whole area is covered by Quaternary strata, without outcrop.

Hechengjie town is located in the geothermal field of Xianxian county. The geothermal field is mainly distributed in the Cenozoic and Middle Upper Proterozoic strata.
