Kaifeng Town, subordinate to Jiange County, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, is located in the north of Sichuan Basin and the southwest of Jiange county. Located in the Xihe River Basin, it has a subtropical humid monsoon climate with a total area of 68.18 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 3 communities and 9 administrative villages, with a total population of 12059 people in 2017. Kaifeng town is the key development area of the military civilian integration development zone in Jiange county. The white rabbit temple, a provincial cultural relic protection unit and 931 Institute of chemical materials, Chinese Academy of Engineering Physics, is located in the town. Kaifeng town is the economic, cultural, transportation, business center and material distribution center of Kaifeng District. It undertakes some county-level public functions and regional service functions in the original Kaifeng District. It is the original pilot town in Sichuan Province, one of the key towns of "one city and eight towns" determined by Jiange County, and the pilot town of "hundred towns construction action" in Sichuan Province.
On May 7, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved Guangyuan City to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Cangxi County and other three counties (cfgm [2020] No. 1): Wanquan Township, Yingshui Township, Guoguang Township, Zhengxing Township, gaochi Township and Madeng Township were abolished, and the former Wanquan Township, Yingshui Township, Guoguang Township, Longhu village, Guogou village, Jinding village, Chongling village and Huashan village were replaced The former Dengta village, Qingrong village, Paifang village, gaochi village, gaota village, Zhuangzi Village, zuofang village, Shengli village, Yangling village of gaochi Township and the former Madeng village, Sanjiang village, ChenWan village and Chunyang village of Madeng township are under the jurisdiction of Kaifeng town. History of construction
Ancient times
In the Shuhan and Western Jin Dynasties, the town of Kaifeng now belongs to Zitong county. during the southern and Northern Dynasties and the Qi Dynasty (479-502), Huayin county was established here, belonging to Fufeng County of Yizhou. In Sui Dynasty, it belonged to Wulian County (Jiange Wulian town). In the second year of Xianxian (713) of Tang Dynasty, Shizhou was changed to Jianzhou, belonging to Wulian County. In Song Dynasty, Changjiang town was established, belonging to Wulian County of Jianzhou. During this period, Jianzhou was first promoted to the festival of Pu'an army, and then to Longqing Prefecture. in the Dingzhong period of Yuantai (1324-1328), Wulian County was abandoned and merged into Zitong county. In 1727, Zitong county was assigned to mianzhou, Pucheng township to Jianzhou, and guangchengbao was set up in the late Qing Dynasty.

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Kaifeng township was set up, belonging to Wulian Prefecture of Jianzhou. in 1913, Jianzhou was changed into Jiange County, and Kaifeng Township belonged to Wulian branch of Jiange county. in 1914, Kaifeng township was changed into Guangcheng regiment, and Wulian County was abolished. Kaifeng township was directly under Jiange county. In 1930, it was changed to Guangcheng district. In 1935, the Fourth Front Army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army entered Jiange county and established the county, District, township and village Soviets. Kaifeng Township Soviets were set up and belonged to Jinxian county (now Jinxian town of Jiange county). In the autumn of the same year, after the long march of the Fourth Front Army of the Red Army was transferred, the government of Jiange County of the Kuomintang resumed its jurisdiction. There was a joint guarantee, named after the serial number, which belonged to the third district of Jiange county (now Yuanshan town of Jiange). In 1940, the new county system was implemented. The joint insurance system was abolished and towns were set up. The joint insurance system in Kaifeng was changed to Kaifeng Town, and then the abandoned town was Kaifeng township. In 1942, Kaifeng town was changed to Kaifeng township. In 1945, Jiange County designated towns as second-class except Pu'an town. In October of 1946, Jiange County readjusted its administrative districts. The county was divided into three guiding districts, and the township remained unchanged. Kaifeng township was the second guiding district (zhiyuanshan township).
New China period
In January 1950, Jiange county set up four districts, including Yuanshan District, and Kaifeng Township belonged to Yuanshan district. In March 1951, the Third District Office (Kaifeng District) was set up. Kaifeng Township belongs to the third district. Since then, Kaifeng has been the resident of the district. In 1958, Kaifeng township was changed into Kaifeng people's commune. On November 17, 1966, with the approval of the people's Committee of Sichuan Province and the administrative office of Mianyang special region, the district office and people's commune named after the place names were changed to new names with "revolutionary significance". Kaifeng was renamed as worker and farmer, and was restored in 1967. At the beginning of 1984, the township system was restored and Kaifeng township was restored. In January 1985, Kaifeng township was transformed into Kaifeng town. In 1992, the administrative division of Jiange county was greatly adjusted. Kaifeng District was abolished and Guoguang township was merged into Kaifeng town. In 1995, Guoguang township was restored. on June 14, 2006, Kaifeng supervision office was abolished and Kaifeng town was directly under the jurisdiction of Jiange county.
