Baolun town
Baolun Town, subordinate to Lizhou District, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northern edge of the Sichuan Basin and the valley in the middle of Guangyuan City. Bailong River and Qingjiang River meet here. It is between 32 ° 08 ′ N and 32 ° 28 ′ N and 105 ° 22 ′ E and 105 ° 43 ′ e, covering an area of 156.24 square kilometers. It is the largest satellite city in Guangyuan City and the core area of Sanjiang new area in Guangyuan City.
Since the Qin and Han Dynasties, it has been an important town of Shu Road for more than 2000 years. Baolun temple was built in Song Dynasty, so it was named baolunyuan. Baolun township was established in the Republic of China. It was the seat of Zhaohua county from 1950 to 1959, and Baolun town was rebuilt in 1953. It has jurisdiction over 22 villages and 6 communities, with a permanent population of 135000 (2020), and an urban built-up area of 7.8 square kilometers.

Baolun town is located in the intersection of Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi'an and Lanzhou. Historical evolution
Ancient times
In the Xia and Zhou dynasties, baolunjing was on the main road from the Central Plains to Shu, and became an important military and political town. From about 2070 BC to 1600 BC, Qi, the first king of the Xia Dynasty, enfeoffed the vassal state "Yin" in today's Baolun area. From 368 BC to 316 BC, marquis Ju, the younger brother of Kaiming, the king of Shu, established the capital of Ju state (now Zhaohua town) in today's Baolun area. After the Qin Dynasty destroyed Shu, Jiameng county (now Zhaohua town) was established in 299 BC. Baolun temple, a Buddhist temple, was established here in the Song Dynasty, hence the name of baolunyuan.
the Republic of China era
In the summer of 1935, after the national government unified the political power of Sichuan, Zhaohua county was assigned to the 14th administrative supervision district of Sichuan Province (zhijiange, now Pu'an town). At the end of this year, the whole county changed the township to the joint insurance system. Each joint insurance was named after its serial number. Baolun was set as the sixth joint insurance, belonging to the first district (governing Chengguan). In 1937, Zhaohua County reorganized the joint insurance system and set up the Baolun joint insurance office, which still belongs to the first district. In January 1940, the Baolun joint insurance office was abolished and changed to Baolun Town, which was under the jurisdiction of the first district office. in 1945, the county set up a township system. Except Chengxiang town was kept as a class a town, the other four towns were changed into townships, which were made up of class B townships. The Fourth District Office was added, and Baolun town was changed into Baolun Township, which belongs to the fourth district. in the autumn of 1947, the fourth district was abolished and Baolun township was divided into the third district, which was directly under the county.
New China period
In December 1949, the people's Government of Zhaohua county was established, which still follows the old division for the time being. In February 1950, the original system was changed into four administrative districts under the jurisdiction of counties (five districts were added in May), and Baolun district (the Second District) was set up to govern the land and baolunyuan. The Second District Committee and District Office of the Communist Party of China (the agency of Zhaohua County Party committee and county government) were set up, and the township and village level political power was established, which was changed into village and group one after another. In the same year, Zhaohua county government moved to Baolun, which became the new Zhaohua county. By the end of 1951, 45 townships were restored or newly built in the county. In 1951, Baolun township was restored, and nine townships, including Baolun, were under the jurisdiction of Baolun district. On November 7, 1952, Zhaohua county carried out the adjustment of district and township administrative divisions. Baolun is the first District People's government, which governs 11 townships including Baolun. In 1953, Baolun township was divided into villages and groups, and Baolun town was established. In September of the same year, the people's Government of the first district was changed into Baolun District Office and restored to the nature of the county's agency. on December 13, 1955, the whole county carried out the zoning adjustment and abolished Xiasi district. All the seven townships belonged to Baolun District, which governs Baolun town and 10 townships. On November 2, 1956, according to the notice of Mianyang special office, Baolun District Office was cancelled, and its 1 town and 6 townships were directly under Zhaohua County, and Baolun town was directly under Zhaohua county. In 1958, Xiasi District Office was abolished and Baolun District Office was restored. Xiasi district was a township under Baolun district. In 1959, after Zhaohua county was merged into Guangyuan County, Guangyuan County was divided into 14 district offices, 2 towns and 70 people's communes. Baolun town still belongs to Baolun district. In February 1985, Guangyuan County was replaced by Shizhong District of Guangyuan City, and Baolun district was changed into Shizhong District of Guangyuan City (renamed Lizhou District in 2007). In November of the same year, Baolun district and Shilong Township were abolished, and the administrative region of Shilong township was merged into Baolun town and upgraded to district level town. in December 2012, after the State Council approved the provincial Sichuan Guangyuan Economic Development Zone to be upgraded to the national Guangyuan economic and Technological Development Zone, Guangyuan municipal Party committee and municipal government officially put Shilong village, Xiaojia village and Bailong village of Baolun town under the management of Shilong Office of Guangyuan economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee in order to expand the trusteeship area of the Development Zone on May 30, 2013. in December 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved to cancel Chihua town and put its administrative region under the jurisdiction of Baolun town.
