Daxing Hui Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Yanting County, is named after Daxing town. Daxing Township was established in 1951, the commune was changed in 1958, and Daxing Hui Township was established in 1986. Located in the middle of the county, 6 kilometers away from the county. On December 25, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns in Mianyang City (cfgm [2019] No. 27): cancel Linshan Township, put the administrative areas of original Linshan Township and Jianzi village of original Fenghe Township under the jurisdiction of Daxing Hui Township, and the people's Government of Daxing Hui Township is located at No. 63 Qinglong Street (original Linshan Township People's Government).

Daxing Hui Township is located 7 kilometers northeast of Yanting County.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, the local surnames Yu, Chen and Zhang discussed Xingchang together and named it "daxingchang" for the purpose of vigorously revitalizing it.
In 1951, the land reform was completed and the democratic construction of government was carried out. Some villages were set aside from Fenghe, Shuangbei and fuming townships to build Daxing Township, which belongs to Fenghe district.
In 1955, after withdrawing Fenghe District, Daxing was assigned to Chengguan District
In 1958, during the period of people's communization, it was changed into Daxing people's commune.
In 1961, Lingshan people's commune was established in Daxing, Fenghe and fuming, belonging to Fuyi district.
In 1984, the commune system was abolished, and Daxing Hui Township and Linshan Township were set up, belonging to Fengling district.
In December 2019, Linshan township will be abolished, and the administrative areas of the former Linshan Township and Jianzi village of Fenghe township will be put under the jurisdiction of Daxing Hui Township. The township will be moved from Daxing Chang to lingshanpu.

Daxing Hui Township, located in the middle of Yanting County, is the only one inhabited by Hui people in Mianyang City. The main meat of Hui people is beef and mutton (no pork). They have the custom of drinking tea and are good at raising cattle and sheep. Hui people pay great attention to cleanliness, often clean indoors and outdoors, often take a bath and change clothes to keep their body clean. Adult men and women wear white cloth round hats as a national symbol. Believing in Islam, there is a grand military mosque in the village. The production, life, marriage, funeral and other customs of the Hui nationality have obvious national characteristics, together with the local dense forest and hilly pastoral scenery, constitute a relatively unique style of the Hui nationality.
