Bajiaojing Street
Bajiaojing Street (managed by the Economic Development Zone) is subordinate to Jingyang District, Deyang City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the hinterland of Chengdu Plain and the South Gate of Deyang City. It is more than 40 kilometers away from Chengdu, the capital of Southwest China, in the South and 55 kilometers away from Mianyang, an important town in northern Sichuan in the north. It is not only an important industrial town in the South Gate of the city, but also a demonstration town for the development of eco-tourism agriculture. Located in the town, qijiayan natural ecological tourism scenic spot, named by the provincial government, is a traditional rice seed production base and pollution-free vegetable base with subtropical monsoon climate and fertile land.
Covering an area of 47 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages, 9 village committees and 3 neighborhood committees, with a population of more than 31000. In 2005, the Gross Regional Product (GDP) of the whole town was 324.29 million yuan, 10460 yuan per capita; the total output value and industrial added value of the town were 1.36 billion yuan and 95 million yuan, respectively; the profits and taxes were 45 million yuan, the fiscal revenue was more than 3.7 million yuan, and the net income of farmers was 3495 yuan per capita.
On November 25, 2019, the people's Government of Deyang City approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some streets in Jingyang District: Gongnong street was cancelled, and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of bajiaojing street. Bajiaojing Street office was located at 639 Jinshajiang Road.
Evolution of organizational system
After the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, Meng Chang, the king of Shu, built Huangzhuang in the third year of Mingde (936 AD). There were many octagonal glass wells in the area of 40 Li, so it was named "Huangzhuang octagonal well". It is located in the south of Jingyang District, Deyang City, bordering Hexin town in the East, Lianshan town in Guanghan City in the southeast, Jinyu town in Guanghan City in the south, Xiaohan town in Guanghan City in the southwest and West, Tianyuan Town in the northwest, Gongnong street and Jingdong street in the north, Donghu Township in the northeast. The people's government is located in Liusha community, 8.8km away from the urban area. Jiaqing Jiazi year of the Qing Dynasty (1804) began to establish the city. In the 29th year of the Republic of China, a new county system was implemented, named Bajiao township. It was used in 1952. In 1958, it was the Bajiao people's commune. It was renamed bajiaojing commune in 1981. In March 1984, the people's Government of bajiaojing township was established. In November 1986, bajiaojing town was established. Since August 2007, the Management Committee of Deyang economic and Technological Development Zone has been acting as an agent. In June 2013, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the abolition of bajiaojing town in Jingyang District of Deyang City and the establishment of bajiaojing sub district office, which governs the administrative area of bajiaojing town.
