Babao Town, located in the northeast of Songzi City, Hubei Province, is a township level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Songzi City, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province, China. The administrative division code is 4210871022019. After the establishment of Xinjiekou Street, Babao town has jurisdiction over one community and 16 administrative villages.

In October 2019, Babao town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".

Evolution of organizational system

Babao is located in the lakeside plain, surrounded by embankments along the river, formerly known as Zeguo Xixiang. In 1920, the Baojia system was established, and eight joint guarantees were set up in the western township of the state of Ze.
