Shenbao town

Shenbao town is located in the northern edge of Hejiang County, known as the "North Gate" of Hejiang. It borders Zhutuo town in Chongqing in the East, Baisha Town in the south, Taifu town in Luxian County in the West and Baihe Town in Luxian County in the north. It is located at the junction of Luzhou, Yongchuan and Hejiang. It has four main exit routes, 31 km away from Hejiang County, 42 km away from Luzhou main urban area, 13 km away from Chongqing outer Third Ring Road (entrance of Zhutuo town in Yongchuan) and 120 km away from Chongqing main urban area.

In September 2013, the provincial people's government agreed to demolish villages and build towns. The town governs 11 administrative villages and 1 community, 124 Village (resident) groups, covering an area of 43.74 square kilometers. There are 1 health center, 3 primary schools, 1 junior high school and 9 kindergartens. With a cultivated area of 21000 Mu and rich agricultural products, it is an important base for high-yield grain and oil production in Hejiang county. The "mage" paijiu green pepper is well-known both inside and outside the province. Shenbao Zhenlong pomelo won the Gold Award in the first Zhenlong pomelo competition in Hejiang county.

In December 2019, the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Hejiang County of Luzhou were adjusted. Shenbao town was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Baisha Town. The people's Government of Baisha Town was stationed at No.1 Renhe road.

Historical evolution

Cangbao township was established in 1950, merged into Wangchuan Township in 1956, changed into Cangbao commune in 1962, renamed as Shenbao commune in 1981, established into Shenbao Township in 1983, and merged into Wangchuan and Longding townships in 1992. In 1997, with an area of 43.6 square kilometers and a population of 26000, it has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages and wangchuanchang neighborhood committees, including Tiantai, Xianba, Changchun, dengganping, Wuli, Shiliang, Huimin, dafengyan, Zhaocun, Shengtan, zhengba, huijishan, Shouhua, feiluan, Qingguo, yaodianzi, leipishi, Sibao, Baiyan and Gaozhao. In 2002, with an area of 47.6 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages, 134 villager groups and 2 neighborhood committees. The total population is 26937, including 26432 in agriculture. In 2004, it has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages and 1 community, covering an area of 43.9 square kilometers, with a total population of 26989, including 26000 agricultural population. on November 5, 2007, the people's Government of Hejiang County issued the reply on the appropriate adjustment of the village scale of Shenbao township (Hefu FA No. 287): repealing Shiliang village and merging into Huilong village; repealing Sibao village and merging into Fengyan village; repealing Tiantai village and merging into Xianba village; repealing Changchun Village and merging into Senhua village; repealing zhengba village and merging into Shengtan village; repealing Gaozhao village and merging into Baiyan village; and repealing lamppost Ping Village, Wuli Village, new Dashi village; repeal yaodianzi village, leipishi village, Qingguo village, new longdingshan village; retain Zhao village, Huiji village, feiluan village. in September 2013, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, Hejiang County of Luzhou City abolished the original Shenbao Township and established Shenbao town to govern the administrative region of the former Shenbao township. in December 2019, the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Hejiang County, Luzhou were adjusted. Longdingshan Temple

Longdingshan temple is located at the junction of Hejiang, Luxian and Yongchuan. Longdingshan temple was built in the 24th year of Hongwu (1391) of Ming Dynasty and was built in the 55th year of Kangxi (1716). It has three halls: front hall, middle hall and back hall. The front hall is 18 Arhats, the middle hall is the Jade Emperor, and the back hall is Guanyin. The Jade Emperor hall is supported by four ancient trees.
