Niutan town is subordinate to Luxian County, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. Its center is 29 ° 08'56 "n and 105 ° 34'71" E. History of construction
Niutan town was built 300 years ago during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. It is named Niutan because it is located in a mountain and looks like a crouching cow, connecting the Laixi river beach.
Before liberation, it belonged to Huiwen township of Luxian county.
After liberation, it was divided into districts in 1950.
Niutan town was built in 1953.
In 1958, it was changed into Niutan commune.
In 1984, it was restored to Niutan town.
In August 1992, Baoan Township, Yufeng Township and Niutan town were merged into Niutan town.
