Shishi town

Shishi town is located on the East Bank of Tuojiang River, 10km northeast of Fushun County. It is adjacent to Qilong town in the East, Fushi town and Huzhu town across the river in the west, Donghu town in the South and Huilong town in Da'an District in the north. Tuojiang River from north to South detour, Cheng Zi Lu highway through the territory, land and water transportation is very convenient. It has jurisdiction over 16 agricultural administrative villages and 2 community neighborhood committees. It covers an area of 42.5 square kilometers, including 1259 hectares of arable land with a total population of 31900. With mild climate, abundant rainfall and fertile soil, Shishi town is rich in rice, corn, wheat, peanuts, soybeans, fruits, sugarcane and bamboo shoots. It is an ideal investment place for agricultural industrialization development projects.

In 2021, it will be listed in the third batch of "the most beautiful ancient villages and towns in Sichuan".

It is a famous historical and cultural town in Sichuan Province. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, villagers lived by water and gradually became markets. Because there is a mountain like a lion beside it, there is a stone beach in the Tuojiang River, which is called Shizitan.

Shishi town is a typical agricultural town with good natural environment protection. The main food crops are rice and corn. The annual grain output is 12700 tons. It is rich in longan, chestnut, cherry, pomegranate and other characteristic fruits, especially huangnitan longan, which is famous for its delicious meat and sweet juice for more than 100 years in southern Sichuan. The aquatic products in the lake area are mainly Tuojiang green carp, with an annual output of more than 2000 tons. It is directly sold to Yunnan, Guizhou and other places throughout the year. Intensive aquaculture in paddy field is developing rapidly, and animal husbandry is mainly pig, duck and rabbit. There are more than 30000 live pigs, more than 80000 piglets, more than 1 million meat ducks and more than 300000 meat rabbits. History of construction

In the early Qing Dynasty, it was set up in the urban and rural lion market. The first year of the Republic of China (1912), known as the lion market regiment. In 1934, it was renamed Shishi township. In 1951, it was divided into Shishi, Luosi and Huashi townships. In 1955, the three townships were merged and still called Shishi township. In 1984, it was renamed Shishi township. In September 1995, Shishi Township and Wuqiao Township were merged into Shishi town. By the end of 2015, it had 12 agricultural administrative villages such as Fuxing, Huashi, Huayuan, Longmen, Luosi, Ma'an, Qixian, Taohua, Xiaohe, Zaojiao, Zhumi, Zilin, and 2 community residents committees such as Shizitan and Wuqiao.

The main mineral resources in the town are coal, limestone, pebbles, river sand, etc. Qingshanling Forest Park is a famous scenic spot in the county. There are 2 reservoirs, 33 shiheyan and 263 shanpingtang. The cultivated area is 1880 hectares. Among them, 1230 hectares of farmland. In order to build a new socialist countryside, the project of benefiting the people was implemented in Zilin village in 2005. The county and town finance invested 500000 yuan and the villagers raised 30000 yuan to build 4.2 kilometers of mud gravel road. In Zhumi village, the government invested 1.388 million yuan to build 9 kilometers of mud gravel road and 5 kilometers of convenience Road, supporting the construction of red bed water exploration, biogas and pig demonstration area.

The Diaojiaolou, Siheyuan, memorial archways, gatehouses, carved panes and so on have the charm of traditional architecture in southern Sichuan. Located at no.16-18 youfangpo street, Changzhen, it was built in Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty. The house covers an area of 427 square meters and a building area of 227 square meters. The courtyard is composed of a front yard, a gatehouse and a backyard. The gatehouse is a triple eaves, Xieshan style building with clay bat, Phoenix, lion, flower and other patterns, and the carving process is exquisite.
