Aoping town

Aoping town is located in the northeast of Pengzhou City, on the North Bank of xiaoshihe River, connecting Longfeng street and Mengyang street in the south, Gexianshan town and Bailu town in the west, and Shifang City in the East and North. It has jurisdiction over 2 town communities and 9 administrative villages, covering an area of 75.63 square kilometers. The registered residence population is 45 thousand and 900 and the resident population is 46 thousand. The provincial highway S401 is connected with Pengshi highway in a "t" shape, which is an important channel of Western Sichuan Tourism Ring Road. Chengdu Wanzhou Expressway and Chengdu Third Ring Expressway pass through the territory. Aoping town was named "kite town" by Chengdu City in 1998 and "Chuanxiong town" by Sichuan Province in 2001.

Aoping town is the provincial pilot town of "hundred towns construction" in Sichuan Province, and the trade and logistics center of the third district town in the north of Pengzhou City. Aoping Kite Festival
