Zhongduo Street

Zhongduo street, located in Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, covers an area of about 123 square kilometers. It governs four communities, namely Dongdi, Chengdong, Yuzhu and Chengnan, and three villages, namely liangjiapu, Qingshan and Zhongtuo. The sub district office is located at No. 383, Taohuayuan Avenue South Road (the former office building of Youyang County population and Family Planning Commission).

On October 30, 2014, Chongqing municipal government (Yufu No. 73) approved the cancellation of Taohuayuan town and the establishment of Taohuayuan street and Zhongduo street in Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County.

Evolution of organizational system

Zhongduo street has always been the office of the Secretary and the prefecture, and zhongxiaoli in the Qing Dynasty. The Republic of China was divided into two townships: Zhongling and Duofu. In 1941, Zhongduo town was established by merging the two townships. In 1958, Zhongduo town was changed into a commune, and in 1974, Zhongduo town was restored. In 1997, with an area of 47 square kilometers and a population of 34000, it has jurisdiction over seven neighborhood committees, namely Xinmin, Cuiping, Bijin, Guifang, Fuxing, guancangba and Taohuayuan, and seven administrative villages, namely Cangbao, quankong, Bailu, Liangfeng, Zhongtuo, Dazhi and datianpo. After the zoning adjustment in 2001, Zhongduo town has jurisdiction over the administrative areas of Zhongduo Town, Zhongnan Township, Xiaoba Township, Haozhi village of Zhongling Township, bailing village of Yinling Township and Yangjing village of Malu Township, with an area of 219 square kilometers and a total population of 74416, including 40288 non-agricultural people. It has jurisdiction over 34 village committees, 7 neighborhood committees and Zhongduo town government. on December 24, 2010, Zhongduo town was renamed Taohuayuan town. on October 30, 2014, Taohuayuan town was abolished and Taohuayuan street and Zhongduo street were established. It governs four communities in Dongdi, Chengdong, Yuzhu and Chengnan of Taohuayuan Town, and three villages in liangjiapu, Qingshan and Zhongtuo.
