Xiaoxi Township
Xiaoxi Township, subordinate to Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the southwest of Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, adjacent to Pingkai street in the East, Zhongling Township in the south, Aikou town in the West and Qingxichang town in the north. It is 15 kilometers away from Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County of Chongqing, with a total area of 68.62 square kilometers.
Before 1954, Xiaoxi township was subordinate to Qingxi township; in October 1983, it was changed from Xiaoxi commune to Xiaoxi township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Xiao Xi township was 14773. As of June 2020, Xiaoxi countryside has jurisdiction over seven administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in Banbianjie group of Mengzi village.
Xiaoxi township is one of the key townships of traditional Chinese medicine base construction in Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County. The main food crops in Xiaoxi township are rice, corn and sweet potato; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, sheep and poultry. In 2018, there were 20 industrial enterprises in Xiaoxi Township, including 3 above scale enterprises and 11 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Before 1954, it belonged to Qingxi township.
In August 1954, Xiaoxi township was composed of Zhongxi and houxigou. The Township People's government was stationed in shangtun village.
In 1958, Xiaoxi commune was established.
In November 1971, the office was moved to banbian street, Mengzi village.
In October 1983, Xiaoxi commune was changed into Xiaoxi township.

In 1997, Xiaoxi village had 15 administrative villages, including Mengzi, nanlonggou, Zhongxin, shangtun, Xiatun, Erhe, Gewei, upstream, Xisha, quzitang, Shamao, maoerpo, Pingyu, Fuxing and Daling.
In 2011, Xiaoxi rural governs 7 administrative villages, including Mengzi, Zhongxin, Gewei, shangtun, Shamao, Fuxing and Xisha, with 58 villager groups.
As of June 2020, Xiaoxi village has jurisdiction over seven administrative villages: Zhongxin village, shangtun village, Gewei village, Mengzi village, Xisha village, Shamao village and Fuxing village. The Township People's government is stationed in Banbianjie group of Mengzi village.
