Erong town
Erong Town, subordinate to Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County of Chongqing City, is located in the northeast of Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County. It faces Huayuan County of Hunan Province across the river in the East, Hong'an town in the south, Yongdong town in the west, Maogou town and yezhuping town of Baojing County of Hunan Province in the north, 40 kilometers away from the urban area, with a total area of 81.3 square kilometers.
In the 27th year of the Republic of China (1938), the town was set up by Fusen township; in June 2001, the town was built by the merger of ersun Township and Longgong township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in EI - San town was 22877. As of June 2020, Erong town has one community and seven administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Erong community.
The main food crops in Erong town are rice, corn and potato, and the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, sheep and poultry. In 2018, there were 10 industrial enterprises and 7 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Errong town.
History of construction
In the 27th year of the Republic of China (1938), e Rong town was set up by Fusen township. In 1941, it was changed to e Rong township.
In 1953, e Rong township was changed to Xinchang township.
In 1955, Xinchang township was merged into Pingma township.
In 1958, e Rong commune was established.
In 1962, Xinchang commune was established by e Rong commune and Pingma commune.
In 1980, Xinchang commune was renamed Longgong commune.
In 1983, Esheng commune and Longgong commune were changed into Esheng Township and Longgong Township respectively.
In June 2001, Erong Township and Longgong Township merged to build Erong town.
