Quchi Township
Quchi Township, subordinate to Wushan County of Chongqing, is located in the west of Wushan County, bordering Liushu village of wuxia town in the East, Tonggu town in the south, Daxi Township in the West and Xingjia village in the north. It is 22 kilometers away from the residence of Wushan County Government, with a total area of 117 square kilometers.
In April 1953, Quchi township was established from Daxi township; in April 1992, Chaoyang township was merged into Quchi township. By the end of 2018, the population of registered residence in Qu county was 18492. As of June 2020, Quchi township has 1 community and 10 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in Xin'an community.
The main food crops in Quchi township are rice, corn and potato; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, sheep and poultry. In 2018, Quchi township has 1 industrial enterprise and 10 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In April 1953, Quchi Township and Ganyuan Township were established in Daxi township. In September of the same year, Ganyuan township was divided into Ganyuan Township, Erlong Township and wubai township.
In March 1955, wubai was merged into Ganyuan Township and Erlong into Daxi township.
In April 1958, Quchi township was divided into Zhonghe district and merged with Chaoyang township to form Quchi commune.
In July 1961, the former Chaoyang township was set up from Quchi commune.
In July 1978, Chaoyang commune was changed into Chaoyang Township and Quchi commune into Quchi township.
In April 1992, Chaoyang township was merged into Quchi township.
