Taihe Tujia Township
Taihe Tujia Township, belonging to Fengjie County, Chongqing, is located in the border of Chongqing and Hubei in the south of Fengjie County. It is adjacent to Xinglong Town in the East, Banqiao Town in Enshi City in Hubei Province in the south, Yunwu Tujia Township in the west, Tuxiang town in the north, 46.1km away from Fengjie County Government, with a total area of 141.17km2.
In the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty, Taihe Tujia township was located in the South Bank of Duli; in March 2009, Taihe Township was withdrawn and Taihe Tujia township was established. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Taihe Tujia township was 13417. As of June 2020, Taihe Tujia township has jurisdiction over one community, seven administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in three groups of Taihe community.
The main economic crops in Taihe Tujia township are flue-cured tobacco, oil crops, traditional Chinese medicine, konjac, etc.; animal husbandry is mainly raising pigs, sheep, cattle and poultry. In 2018, Taihe Tujia township has one industrial enterprise and 24 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, it belongs to the south bank. During the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Taihe Pingxiang.
In the eighth year of the Republic of China (1919), it belonged to the Taihe Branch of baozi general League. In the 19th year of the Republic of China (1930), it belonged to baozi Township, the fourth district (zhishanjiaoba). In 1933, it belonged to Baoyi Township, the Sixth District. In 1935, it was a joint insurance. In 1936, it was transferred to the third district. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it belonged to Baoyi township; in August of the same year, it belonged to Chaoyang township.
After 1949, it belongs to Chaoyang Township, Chaoyang District, and the district office is located in Chaoyang township.
In 1950, it was transferred to the seventh district.
In November 1958, it belonged to Chaoyang commune.
In June 1961, Chaoyang commune was divided into Chaoyang commune and Taihe commune.
In 1981, Taihe commune was changed into Taihe Township.
In July 2004, JINZI township was merged into Taihe Township.
In March 2009, Taihe Township was withdrawn and Taihe Tujia township was established.

In 2011, Taihe Tujia village governs 8 administrative villages including Taihe, Taiping, Gaoqiao, Jianshan, Liangjia, Shipan, Shiban and JINZI, and 36 villager groups.
As of June 2020, Taihe Tujia township has jurisdiction over one community and seven administrative villages: Taihe community, Taiping Village, Gaoqiao village, Jianshan village, Liangjia Village, Shiban village, Shipan village and JINZI village. The Township People's government is stationed in three groups of Taihe community.
