Tuxiang town
Tuxiang Town, subordinate to Fengjie County of Chongqing, is located in the southwest of Fengjie County, on the South Bank of the Yangtze River. It is connected with Qinglong Town in the East, Taihe Township in the south, Lichuan County in Hubei Province in the west, and Yunyang County across the river in the north. It is 44.6 kilometers away from the residence of Fengjie County Government, with a total area of 244.83 square kilometers.
In the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty, Tuxiang town belonged to the South Bank of Duli; on October 20, 1986, it was changed from Tuxiang town to Tuxiang town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Tu Xiang town was 53789. As of June 2020, Tuxiang town has 3 communities and 18 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in yuwanggong community group 2.
The main food crops in Tuxiang town are rice and rice; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, cattle, sheep and poultry. In 2018, Tuxiang town had 44 industrial enterprises and 32 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Tuxiang town is named after the homonym "Earth Dam".
At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, it belongs to the south bank.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to tuxiangba township.
In 1919, it belonged to Shuizhen group and Yunzi group. In 1930, it belonged to Tuzi Township and Yunzi township. In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), it belonged to the third area of the joint protection of Tu characters and the fourth area of the joint protection of Yun characters. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it belonged to Tuzi Township and Yunzi Township in the fourth district. In August of the same year, it belonged to Tuxiang and meikui township. In 1941, Tuxiang was divided into Tuxiang and Qinglong.
After 1949, it belonged to Tuxiang township of Chaoyang District and meikui township of Baiyang district.
In September 1953, Tuxiang, Renjia, Fanjia, Mayi, Baila, cherry, suoba, Dalong and Meixing were set up.
In December 1955, nine townships were merged into Tuxiang, Mayi and meikui townships.
In November 1958, Tuxiang township was changed into Tuxiang commune.
In 1983, Tuxiang commune was changed into Tuxiang township.
On October 20, 1986, Tuxiang township was replaced by Tuxiang town.
In July 2004, Fanjia, Mayi and meikui were merged into Tuxiang town.

In 2011, Tuxiang town has jurisdiction over yuwanggong, Longquan and Xinqiao communities, 18 administrative villages including Longhe, Jinquan, Dazhuang, Dahe, Qinglin, Baila, Xinlin, caoxin, Zhongba, Yanghe, Zhifang, Fanjia, Xiangshui, Fuxing, Shuanghe, cherry, stalagmite and swallow, 25 resident groups and 79 villager groups.
As of June 2020, Tuxiang town has jurisdiction over 3 communities and 18 administrative villages: yuwanggong community, Longquan community, Xinqiao community, Dahe village, cherry village, Shishu village, Xiangshui village, Baila village, Yanzi village, Longhe village, Fuxing village, Xinlin village, Qinglin village, Zhifang village, Fanjia village, Dazhuang Village, caoxin village, Jinquan village, Zhongba village, Shuanghe village and Yanghe village Yuwanggong community group 2.

Tuxiang town is located in the eastern part of the Yumai of Qiyao mountain. The terrain is high around and relatively low in the middle. The terrain is mountainous. The main peaks are Mashan, fengcheding and dishuifeng. Xiaobaiyan, the highest peak in the town, is located in group 2 of Yanzi village, with an altitude of 1781 meters. Gaixiaba, the lowest point, is located in group 2 of Jinquan village, with an altitude of 350 meters.

The rivers in Tuxiang town belong to the Yangtze River Basin. There are two main rivers, Changtan River and Daxi river. The second river, Moxi River, with a total length of 19.7 km, originates from meiziguan, Yanghe village, and flows through Shuanghe, Dahe, Xinlin, yuwanggong community, Xinqiao community, Xiangshui and Qinglin villages from southeast to northwest. It is called Tuxiang River in Baila village.
