Yunan town
Yunan Town, subordinate to Yunyang County of Chongqing, is located in the northeast of Yunyang County and the valley of Tangxi River. It is connected with Yunyang town and Qixia town in the East and south, Shuikou Township in the West and Nanxi town in the north. It is 38 kilometers away from the residence of Yunyang County Government, with a total area of 63.6 square kilometers.
In the first year of emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty (206 BC), Fujia led the people to dig a well to boil salt, which started the development of the town. The market was formed in the Tang and Song dynasties. In January 2009, Maoba township was merged into yun'an town. By the end of 2018, the population of yun'an town registered residence was 26347. As of June 2020, yun'an town has 5 communities and 6 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town people's government is stationed in group 1, huangjiaoya, Baishui community.

History of construction
Yunan town is named after the ancient salt town named Yunan factory.
In the early years of the Western Han Dynasty, a well was dug to boil salt, and a salt official was set up in Yunyang town.
In the Tang Dynasty, cloud safety supervision was set up.
Yuan Dynasty, known as Yunyang field, belongs to Yunyang state.
Ming Dynasty, home Anyi township.
In the early Qing Dynasty, Anyi township was abandoned and renamed as yun'an factory; in the middle Qing Dynasty, it belonged to yutangjia and yun'an factory in BEIXIANG; in the late Qing Dynasty, it was established as yun'an town.
In August 1958, it was reduced to township level, belonging to Yuntong district.
In June 1961, it was promoted to a district level town.
In January 2009, Maoba township was abolished and merged into yun'an town.
