Pingshan Town, subordinate to Dianjiang County, Chongqing, is located in the south of Dianjiang County. It is adjacent to Yongping town and Peixing town in the East, Changshou District in the south, Heyou town and Baijia Town in the west, and Yantai town in the north. It is 27.4km away from Dianjiang County Government, with a total area of 74.65km2.
In the spring and Autumn period, Pingshan Town belonged to the state of Ba; in July 2000, it was renamed Pingshan Town from Shenjia town. By the end of 2018, the population of Pingshan Town registered residence was 47836. As of June 2020, Pingshan Town has 3 communities and 13 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Pingshan Town is located at No. 84, old street, Wenchang community.

History of construction
Pingshan Town was named after Pingshan district.
In the spring and Autumn period, it belonged to the state of Ba.
Qin and Han Dynasties, belong to Bajun.
In the early Qing Dynasty, it belonged to BaiShiLi, Fuzhou; in 1908, it was named shenjiachang. Xuantong two years (1910), is the fourth district.
In 1930, it was the Ninth District of Fuling county. In 1931, Shen Jiazhen was set up in the Fifth District of Shen Jiachang. In 1935, Shen's hometown was changed to the fourth district. In 1940, it was changed to Shenjia town.
In April 1950, it was changed to Shen's hometown.
In March 1953, it was assigned to Dianjiang County, belonging to the 11th district.
In June 1958, Shen's hometown was changed into Shen's commune.
In March 1983, Shen's commune was changed into Shen's hometown.
In May 1985, Shen's hometown was changed into Shenjia town.
In October 1992, Jiefeng township was merged into Shenjia town.
In July 2000, Shenjia town was renamed Pingshan Town.
