Xiuqi Town, subordinate to Chengkou County of Chongqing, is located in the southeast of Chengkou County, bordering Lantian Township in the East, Gaoguan town and Zhiping Township in the south, Gaoyan Township and Gecheng street in the west, and Beiping Township in the north. It is 16 kilometers away from the residence of Chengkou county government, with a total area of 166.2 square kilometers.

In the early Qing Dynasty, Xiuqi town belonged to xiuxiba, the seventh baobajia of Chengkou hall, and changlianxi, Jiujia; in September 2004, Shifang township was merged into Xiuqi town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Xiu Qi town was 18862. As of June 2020, Xiuqi town has 1 community and 11 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of Xiuqi town is located in Xingsheng street.

The main food crops in Xiuqi town are corn, ocean, sweet potato and rice; the main animal husbandry is pig and mountain chicken. History of construction

At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the seventh baobajia of Chengkou hall to build Xiba and the ninth jiachanglianxi.

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to xiuxi Township regiment of the eastern district. In the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), it belonged to the joint protection of xiuxi in the Second District of Chengkou. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it belonged to Xiucai Township, Chengkou District II.

In December 1949, it belonged to Xiuqi Township, a district.

In 1958, Xiuqi township was changed into Xiuqi commune.

In 1983, Xiuqi commune was changed into Xiuqi township.

In 1992, Xiuqi township was rebuilt into Xiuqi town.

In 2001, Shanmu township was merged into Xiuqi town.

In September 2004, Shifang township was merged into Xiuqi town.
