Full moon town
Manyue Town, belonging to Kaizhou District of Chongqing, is located in the north of Kaizhou District, adjacent to guanmian Township in the East, Dajin town in the South and West, Xuanhan county and Chengkou County in Sichuan Province in the north, 88 kilometers away from the people's Government of Kaizhou District, with a total area of 148.95 square kilometers.
In the first year of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty (1736), the territory was under the jurisdiction of old Wujia, Dongli, Kaizhou district; on May 20, 2019, it was changed from manyue township to manyue town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in the town was 12814. As of June 2020, one community and six administrative villages are under the jurisdiction of manyue Town, and the people's Government of the town is stationed in five groups of manyue village.
In manyue Town, corn and potato are the main food crops; pig, sheep and poultry are the main animal husbandry; wine industry is the main industry.
History of construction
In the first year of Qianlong (1736), manyue town was under the jurisdiction of laowujia, Dongli, Kaizhou district. In the late Qing Dynasty, it was the Second District of Kaizhou District, the capital of Sichuan Province.
After 1949, it belongs to the hot spring area of Kaizhou district.
In July 1954, it was divided into four townships: full moon, Tianshui, Shanyuan and Mayun, belonging to Dajin District of Kaizhou district.
In April 1958, the four townships were merged into manyue township; in September of the same year, manyue township was changed into manyue commune.
In August 1985, the full moon commune was changed into full moon township.
On May 20, 2019, it was approved to cancel manyue Township and change it into manyue town.

In February 1961, Heping and Bamian villages were assigned to guanmian Township, and Minfeng and Shanyuan villages were assigned to Hongyuan Township, belonging to Dajin District of Kaizhou district.
In 2004, one community was reserved in manyue Town, 11 administrative villages were adjusted to six administrative villages, including manyue, Ganquan, Tianzi, Shuangping, Maying and Dingxing, and 111 villager groups were adjusted to 29 villager groups.
At the end of 2011, manyue town had jurisdiction over one community of Haoyue, six administrative villages of manyue, Ganquan, Tianzi, Shuangping, Maying and Dingxing, four resident groups and 29 villager groups.

Guanmian mountain and yiziliang mountain range run from east to west, with high mountains and steep slopes, deep canyons and wide altitude differences, with an altitude difference of nearly 200 meters. The lowest point in the town is at the confluence of manyue River and guanmian River, with an altitude of 500 meters.
