In the middle of the Qing Dynasty, Yuexi town belonged to Yuexi farm in Puli; in April 1983, Yuexi commune was changed into Yuexi town. History of construction

In the middle of Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Yuexi farm in Puli.

In March 1950, Yuexi district was established as the residence of the district office.

In October 1957, Yuexi district was changed into Yuexi commune.

In April 1983, Yuexi commune was changed into Yuexi town.

In October 1992, Hu and Pingding were merged into Yuexi town.

In August 2005, Tiaodeng Township, Long'an Township and Yuexi town were merged.
