Fenggao street, belonging to Rongchang District of Chongqing, is located in the east of Rongchang District, adjacent to Youting town of Dazu District in the East, Honglu town of Yongchuan District in the south, Zhisheng town and Changyuan town in the west, and Lukong town in the north, with a total area of 61 square kilometers.
In the spring and Autumn period, fenggao Street belonged to the state of Ba; on August 29, 2008, fenggao town was changed into fenggao street. In 2020, fenggao street has 14057 households with a total population of 40463. As of June 2020, fenggao street has jurisdiction over 3 communities and 8 administrative villages, and its sub district office is located in Sunshine Community.

History of construction
In the spring and Autumn period, fenggao Street belonged to the state of Ba.
In Tang Dynasty, fenggao Street belonged to Changyuan county.
In the Ming Dynasty, fenggao street was named fenggaoli, and there was a fenggao post (horse post).
In the early years of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, the post station was still set up here; in the 10th year of Emperor Yongzheng of Qing Dynasty (1732), the post station was removed, but it was still one of the eight Tangpu in the county.
In 1933, fenggao township was established.
After 1949, it belongs to the first district.
In 1958, fenggao Township, Jianshe Township and Xinhua Township were incorporated into fenggao commune.
In 1961, fenggao commune was divided into fenggao commune, Jianshe commune and Xinhua commune.
In 1977, Dongfanghong and Liansheng communes were classified as fenggao district.
In 1981, Xinhua commune was renamed Qianqiu commune, Dongfanghong commune was renamed Yuwu commune.
At the beginning of 1984, the commune was changed into a township.
In December 1993, fenggao Township and Jianshe Township were abolished, and eight villages of Qianqiu Township and two villages of ganba and ruanjiamiao in Yuwu Township were merged to form fenggao town.
On August 29, 2008, fenggao town was changed into fenggao street.

On June 11, 2007, groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 of ruanjiamiao village and groups 1 and 2 of Liangshan village were put under the jurisdiction of Changzhou street; fenggao street after zoning adjustment has jurisdiction over 14 villages and 1 community, and the street government is stationed in fenggaopu (formerly fenggao town government).
By the end of 2011, fenggao street had jurisdiction over sunshine, Emei and Donghu communities, and eight administrative villages, including Jinyin, yunjiao, Fenghuang, Shipan, Tangchong, Qianqiu, Yangyan and Wuma, with 22 resident groups and 53 villager groups.
In 2016, fenggao street had 8 administrative villages, including Shipan village, Tangchong village, Yangyan village, Wuma village, Fenghuang village, yunjiao village, Qianqiu village and Jinyin village, 3 communities, including sunshine community, Emei community and Donghu community, 76 villager groups and the government stationed in fenggaopu.
