History of construction
In 1940, Qingyuan township was established.
In 1953, Qingyuan township was divided into welfare, Qingyuan, Huilong and Fengfeng.
In December 1954, four small townships were merged into Qingyuan township.
In April 1958, Qingyuan township was incorporated into Dayou commune.
In July 1961, Qingyuan commune was established.
In January 1983, Qingyuan commune was changed into Qingyuan township.
In 2016, Qingyuan township was changed into Qingyuan town.
