Dian town is subordinate to Jia County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the south of Jiaxian County, adjacent to muuyu Township in the East, Keng town in the southeast, Dafosi Township in the south, Tao Town in Mizhi County in the west, Wu town in the northwest and Jiazhou street in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 13.6 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 11.1 km, with a total area of 86 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
According to legend, during the reign of Hongzhi of Ming Dynasty (1488-1505), there was a rest shop in the southernmost part of the town, named after it.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, it belonged to FUTUYU.
In 1934, the joint insurance office of Dianzhen was established, which has jurisdiction over 13 insurance companies.
