Toudu town

Toudu Town, belonging to Nanchuan District of Chongqing, is located in the south of Nanchuan District, adjacent to Delong Township and Dayou town in the East, Shixi town of Tongzi County in Guizhou Province in the south, Jinshan Town in the West and Sanquan town in the north. It is 58km away from the residence of Nanchuan District people's government, with a total area of 164.19km2.

In the Qing Dynasty, Toudu town belonged to Fengli first class; in September 1992, it was changed from Toudu town to Toudu town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in tou Du Town was 11954. As of June 2020, Toudu town has four administrative villages and the people's Government of Toudu town is stationed in Toudu bridge.

History of construction

In the Qing Dynasty, Toudu town belonged to Fengli first class.

In 1929, Toudu township was built. In 1937, Toudu Township, Xiaohe Township and Delong Township were merged into daili township. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), daili township was divided into Toudu township; from August 1 of the same year, Xiaohe Township and Toudu Township were merged into daili Township again. In 1942, daili township was divided into Xiaohe Township and Toudu township.

In July 1953, Toudu township was divided into Toudu Township and Changba township; in November of the same year, Toudu Township, Changba Township and Jinfo Township, which originally belonged to Delong Township, were merged into Toudu township.

In 1967, Toudu township was changed into Toudu commune.

In December 1980, Toudu commune was changed into Toudu township.

In September 1992, Toudu township was changed into Toudu town.

On August 18, 1994, Nanchuan was set up as a city instead of a county.

In 2007, Nanchuan was divided into districts.
