History of construction
In the fourth year of Hongwu (1371) of Ming Dynasty, Degan Street belonged to Yifeng township; in the Chenghua (1465-1487) of Ming Dynasty, Degan Street belonged to deganli.
In 1694 (the 33rd year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty), Degan Street belonged to Erdu; in 1910 (the 2nd year of Xuantong of Qing Dynasty), Degan Street belonged to Ershou town.
In 1940, Degan township was established.
In December 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of two districts.
In November 1950, Heai township was set up by Degan township.
In January 1951, Shidao township was set up from Degan township; in August of the same year, Shidao township was merged into Degan township; in November of the same year, Shidao township was restored from Degan township.
In September 1958, degan Township and Heai Township merged to establish degan commune.
In December 1961, degan commune set up he'ai commune.
