In the Qing Dynasty, Shanling township was divided into Maoba and suanzao townships; in 1983, Shanling commune was replaced by Shanling township. History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Maoba and suanzao townships.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Maoba and suanzaoxiang merged into suanzaoxiang.
