Zhongtang Township
Zhongtang township is located in the northeast of Qianjiang District, adjacent to Chaoyang town and huolongping township of Xianfeng County in Hubei Province in the East, zhoubai town in the south, Chengdong sub district office in the west, Xiaonanhai town and daluba township of Xianfeng County in the north.
In November 2019, according to the reply of Chongqing Municipal People's Government on revoking Baishi Township, Zhongtang Township and Shaba Township in Qianjiang district and establishing Baishi Town, Zhongtang town and Shaba town respectively, Zhongtang Township in Qianjiang district was canceled and Zhongtang town was established.

Zhongtang Township, covering an area of 81.64 square kilometers, has jurisdiction over five villages, including Zhongtang, Xingquan, Shengli, Yingxin and Shuangshi, 48 villager groups, and 13141 people (in 2017). There are Tujia, Miao, Han and other nationalities, most of which are Tujia. Group 1 of Zhongtang Village (small place name: Zhongba). The terrain is complex, with crisscross mountains, basins and rivers, and the terrain fluctuates greatly. It has a mild climate, abundant rainfall and 290 frost free days.
