Zhongao town

Zhongao Town, subordinate to Dazu District of Chongqing, is located in the northwest of Dazu District, in the upper reaches of Laixi river. It borders Longgang street and Baoding town in the East, Gaosheng town in the south, Gaoping Township in the north and Tongnan District in the northeast. It is 9 kilometers away from the residence of Dazu District People's government, with a total area of 108.79 square kilometers.

In 1894, the territory of Zhongao town was YONGANLI; in 1940, it was changed from Zhongao Lianbao to Zhongao town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in central Ao town was 62766. As of June 2020, Zhongao town has 7 communities and 14 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Zhongao town is located at No. 107, Huilong street community.

History of construction

In 1894, it belonged to yong'anli. In the first year of Xuantong (1909), zhongaochang was changed into zhongaoxiang.

In 1930, Zhongao township was changed into Zhongao town. In 1935, Zhongao town was changed into Zhongao Lianbao. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), the Sino Ao joint protection was restored to Zhongao town.

In May 1993, zhuandong Township, Mayang Township and Zhongao Township were merged into Zhongao town.

In October 2003, Tianshan township was merged into Zhongao town.

In November 2011, it belongs to Dazu district.
