Chaotianmen Street
Chaotianmen street, belonging to Yuzhong District of Chongqing, is located in the northeast of Yuzhong District, at the intersection of the Yangtze River and Jialing River. It is adjacent to the Yangtze River in the East, wanglongmen street in the south, Jiefangbei street in the West and Jialing River in the north, with a total area of 0.69 square kilometers.
In the 16th year of King Cheng of Zhou Dynasty (1027 BC), Chaotianmen Street belonged to Jiangzhou; on December 15, 1972, it was renamed Chaotianmen street from Hongwei road street. In 2011, the total number of registered residence in Chaotianmen was 23 thousand. As of June 2020, Chaotianmen street has 7 communities under its jurisdiction, and its sub district office is located at No. 2 chopsticks street.

History of construction
In the 16th year of King Cheng of Zhou Dynasty (1027 BC), it belonged to Jiangzhou.
In the late Warring States period, it belonged to Jiangzhou county.
In 487, it belonged to Dianjiang County.
In 561, the first year of Baoding in the Northern Dynasty and the Northern Zhou Dynasty, Dianjiang County was abolished and Baxian county was established.
In 1929, Chongqing was established as a city. In 1935, it was the Second District of Chongqing. In 1939, it was the first district of Chongqing.
On November 23, 1955, the first district was renamed Shizhong District.
From early 1954 to August 1958, Mawang temple and Chaotianmen street were established successively.
On March 23, 1960, Chaotianmen street was changed into Chaotianmen commune.
On July 14, 1962, Chaotianmen commune was transformed into Chaotianmen street.
On October 14, 1968, Chaotianmen street was renamed Hongwei road street.

History and culture
Chaotianmen street is located at the intersection of Jialing River and Yangtze River in Yuzhong Peninsula, Yuzhong District, Chongqing. The original title of the city gate is "ancient Yuxiong pass", which was one of the seventeen ancient city gates in Chongqing. In the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279), when the government was partial to Lin'an, Imperial Envoys sometimes sent imperial edicts from the Yangtze River through the city gate, so it got its name.
