Wuqiao street, belonging to Wanzhou District of Chongqing, is located in the middle of Wanzhou District, bordering Changling town in the East, baianba street in the south, chenjiaba street in the West and Tailong town in the north. It is 6.5km away from the government of Wanzhou District, with a total administrative area of 25.7km2.
In the Qing Dynasty, Wuqiao Street belonged to the second grade of Guoli in Wanxian County; in December 1998, Wuqiao street was set up by Wuqiao town. In 2011, the total population of Wuqiao street was 22549. As of June 2020, Wuqiao street has 8 communities and 1 administrative village under its jurisdiction, and its sub district office is located at 183 Wanzhou Avenue.
The main food crops in Wuqiao Street are rice, corn and wheat; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, cattle, sheep and poultry; the main industry is light industry.
History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Guoli, Wanxian county.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Wuqiao township was established.
In September 1958, Wuqiao commune was established in Wuqiao township.
In May 1984, Wuqiao commune was changed into Wuqiao township.
In September 1988, Wuqiao township was changed from township to town.
In December 1998, Wuqiao town was removed and divided into bai'anba street and Wuqiao street by 318 National Highway (Wanchuan Avenue).

In 2011, Wuqiao street has jurisdiction over seven communities, namely Xianglushan, wujianqiao, Lianhua, wanshiqiao, Min'an, Gongjia and Shiren, and two administrative villages, namely Minqiang and Huilong, with 44 resident groups and 19 villager groups.
